Thrifted Blazer & Victorian Top

front of outfit

Another amazing thrift find, friends! I mean, check out this blazer. Love, right? This find was from a local Value Village that I frequent and it was less than $15. Which, is a bargain considering all I did was get it dry cleaned immediately after my purchase.

I always check out the inside tag to find out a little bit more about the item I purchase from thrift stores. I like to know if it needs to be dry cleaned or if it's a fabric I know how to "dry clean" myself. This is tweed blend, I knew it would be safer to just have a professional handle this item. The tag was marked as "FA11", which means its from the Jcrew 2011 Fall line. Those were the heavy Jenna Lyon days so I'm not surprised that I loved this blazer at first sight. It's beautifully fitted and I'll be pairing it with a scarf tied around my neck in the future. Similar to my Green Jumpsuit post. I know this blazer has at least another life in it and I'm happy to add it to my collection.

As for the top, it's a very old Victorian Forever21 piece that I've always loved and worn often. I'm super excited to see the Victorian trend coming back into style. I don't want to replace this one but I do need to find a back up for the future.

High heeled/knee high boots are from Tommy Hilfiger last year. These block heels are terrific but I don't know if I could run in them. You know that's my ultimate test. Haha!

I found this bag on the Zara sales rack and I couldn't believe the price. I've worn it many times before, you can see it in my baseball game outfit post. Normally, it's worn with the strap but for this outfit it definitely looked more professional without one.

As you can see, I'm having an issue with my camera. It's not focusing properly so I'm going to try and take it into a professional this week to get it checked out. I'm a bit bummed out because these all would have been terrific if they'd come out shaper. Next time, right?
