Kate Moss Matte Lipsticks

I'm cheap.

I'm frugal and have a very very hard time justifying spending $18 on a tube of lipstick. Which I did, by the way, last month. I bought a MAC lipstick at Nordstrom and I walked out feeling as if I'd been cheated because it's not even a lipstick that's going to last all day. The lipstick isn't like a liquid lip that can tolerate my tea addiction or eating all day. It's just as it sounds: A tube of lipstick.

Naturally, I panicked and went on a hunt to prove that a 5 dollar tube could be the same.

As you know, I went to Target... mmmhhhmmm. Long story short, I bought a tube that is now my favorite lipstick ever. Number 104, gals. It's mauve, gorgeous and smells delicious. This is my best friend. I keep her in my bag just in case I magically need a little rouge. It has transferred from bag to bag with me since I bought it.

Let me be clear. This is not a liquid lip, these sticks will not last all day as they're not designed too. They transfer, to be short but they do stain. It's a nice perk for a lip that's under $5 and you want to change out throughout the day without any kind of mess.

After I got home and tried this formula, I turned right back around and walked to the local drug store where I bought #11 & #107. Both gorgeous reds. A dark cranberry and crimson berry. I'm obsessed.

Looking at this photo, you can tell I jumped into the 104 immediately.

Here's what I've discovered: Yes, you can 100% buy lipstick for 78% less than a tube of MAC. However, I have yet to find a lip dup to match the tube of MAC that I bought. With that said, it does make the MAC lipstick more rare as not every woman is going to go out and buy an $18 red. Therefore, the conclusion of this post is that every woman is different and I'm apparently not as frugal as I think because I kept all 4 lips. Though I have yet to use the MAC on principle. I'll let you know if it ends up getting returned.

If you are looking for an insanely creamy lipstick with an amazing scent and wide range of colors, I recommend these Rimmels. Yes, #104 & #107 have a nice matte finish but they are not as matte as an ABH liquid lip.

Best of luck on your lip search!
