WIW: Pin Stripe Tank with Jeans and Target Cardigan

Staples in my wardrobe are as follows: Black Pumps, Quality Jeans and Black Cardigans. You can add in the accessories in between. These Nine West Pumps should not be a surprise to you as I wear them all the time. No joke, I own them in two different colors (black and tan) and I've got my eye on two more colors on Amazon. I love shoes but finding easy to wear and comfortable pumps can be difficult to find. These ones I swear by. I may consider doing a post later of all of the outfits I've worn these pumps with. So far you've seen my tan pair in "For the Love of Pearls and Joggers" and now my black pair with this ensemble.

Save or Splurge: Selena Gomez Everyday High-Waisted Jean Crops

Selena Gomez white cuff tee black jean crops

SPRING!!! For the love, guys. Doesn't 78 degrees of sunshine and partly cloudy skies sound like a dream come true? It does to me and that's what Selena Gomez's outfit in this post says as well.

How chic is this girl? Stepping out on to the streets with her dark denim, plain white cuffed tee and sunnies. The choker and slips are the finishing touch to her simplistic ensemble and pair oh-so-easily with her blue nails.

Review: Brooks Running Greenlight Crops

There's an old tale that Seattleites tell transfers when they move to the city. Probably because they're dying for an excuse to allow their emo introverted personas to be acceptable. The tale normally begins with a question that turns into an apology and ends with the tale of woe. The story being that there is a Seattle freeze. That OG Seattle isn't very good at allowing people in and getting to know outsiders on more than a surface level.

Event: Earth Day 5k Magnuson Park Series, Seattle, WA

Today was a really fun considering how much I was dreading this run last week. About a month ago I thought to myself " need to get back on track with your fitness. You've been neglecting yourself."

WIW: LulaRoe Geometric Dress & Kut from the Kloth Blazer

Mirror shot of outfit: Lularoe Geometric blue dress with kut from the kloth vegan leather blazer, amethyst necklace, Office Booties

End of the week, loves! This Lularoe is one of my favorite dresses because it's so comfortable and I can also wear it as a top, if I want to. I don't. The option is out there though!

Bella Fiore's Naturopathic Facial Review

This weekend I adulted and scheduled myself a facial for the very first time in my life. I'm laying in bed at 2am writing this because it's so fresh in mind that I don't want to lose it.

Total disclosure, I booked my first facial at Bella Fiore because:

1) I'd been to their spa before for laser hair removal and remembered liking it
2) The reviews are amazing
3) They only use all natural and organic products on your skin
4) They are all certified estheticians
5) I had a promotional code for 15% off my services (total disclosure!)

The process was insanely easy to book online through their portal. A mere email and password and I was logged in. They has a standard profile with your information and skin type. I had a lot of fun going through each service that they provided. Anything from a standard Express Facial to a Micro current Platinum Facial (I still don't know what that is). Since this was my first appointment and I have oily and ache prone skin/sensitive skin, I decided to go for a Custom Naturopathic Facial.

April 2017 Favorites

Happy Monday! I'm starting this week off with my all time favorites for April this month. Things on my mind, things I love around my beautiful city and amazing videos I want to share. I want to start doing these once a month to see if anyone else has similar interests! I'm starting off with my favorite Downtown Seattle Coffee Shop.

Favorite Coffee: Almond Milk Chai Latte from Cherry Street Coffee

The people who work at Cherry Street are amazing. They make a damn good cup of coffee but they also hire the most incredibly friendly people who genuinely want to get to know you and share your day. The music is always different, depending on who is working and who's pandora station is plugged in. I highly recommend, if you want a quality cup of joe and a whole-hearted smile.

Favorite Dress: Ted Baker Samm Floral Fit & Flare Dress

WIW: April Jogging

Sports Bra - Adidas // Purple Running Top - Adidas (different color) // Blue and Turquoise Running
Capris - Lululemon (old, obsessed with) // Running Shoes - Nike (similar and obsessed with)
The slightest sight of sun and warmth on my skin: I'm out. My heart is beating trying to remember my stride that I lost sometime back in November. That was before I got sick, before the traveling and before I just stopped caring.

Running til my lungs hurt and my eye water from the cool wind. I find peace. I clear my head and my heart at the same time as my shoes hit the ground trying to avoid any major holes in the beat up, root growing sidewalks in Capitol Hill. The cars drive by with their windows rolled down and kids riding their bikes through the parks. It could almost be Spring. I can almost see the light. My God, jogging is my vice; come blues skies and tree moss!

I ran today. It felt like I was jogging through heaven. The fresh air was almost too much, I could have passed out. Seattle had a beautiful day and I didn't think twice about it. I threw on my Nikes and ran for the hills. Literally.

These lululemon pants are one of my favorite pants for working out in because they have side pockets on the outer thighs. However, even with the draw string tied ... they fall. Not a crazy amount but enough to frustrate you and stop to pull them up properly. They are an older pair and my friend, Ishea (the blogger from Six Twenty Seven), was invited to one of lululemon's parties. She was able to try out a pair of their new pant line and she's in love with them. Check out her review here.

As for my top, I swear by Adidas' Ultimate V-Neck Tees. They're the only tees I've ever worn that don't make me itchy after a run. I used to wear standard cotton tees and I would scratch my stomach without knowing it. At the end, I would take off my shirt and my stomach would literally have red nail lines all over it from my scratching. I highly recommend these tees. They're my favorite. I own 4 of them.

My favorite pandora station, for running, doesn't play anything slow. I have my secret running paths that I had to learn last year but still nothing compares to my old Seattle neighborhood. I wonder if I'll end up moving back there in the next month. If you're caught up on my posts, I'll be moving soon! I don't have a place in mind but I do have neighborhoods in mind. A large portion of my neighborhood picks are based off of mobility. They might not be easy to get to off the free way but they have amazing running areas. When I live in Queen Anne, I have a set path that was almost exactly 3.15 miles. That route was on purpose.

Is there a route you love and follow?

Recipe: Honey CocoOats with Strawberries and Bananas

Good morning, oatmeal loving friends!

This little post is near and dear to my heart simply because it's my go-to budget breakfast at work. It's filling, sweet and stuffed with fruit! I've never truly loved oatmeal until I became an adult. I was  cream of wheat kiddo all the way. No question. I was very particular about it too. First of all, only my grandmother could make it and it had to have a cinnamon stick in it.

Obviously, as I've gotten older, I learned that cream of wheat isn't the only breakfast food that makes me happy. I have tons of breakfast loves on my salad blog. However, oatmeal has become somewhat of a staple primarily because it's easy and inexpensive to make. It also doesn't take a lot of time and you can make it at night and just add the fruit in the morning.

Here's the secret:

WIW: Sweater Equestrian & Changes

My hope is that this will be my last sweater post til October of this year. I have been praying for blue skies and light clouds for weeks now and it appears Spring is finally on it's way. I want to go hiking and run through the city without getting soaked! Hence why I'm still wearing my tall riding boots. Boo-hoo.

Kate Moss Matte Lipsticks

I'm cheap.

I'm frugal and have a very very hard time justifying spending $18 on a tube of lipstick. Which I did, by the way, last month. I bought a MAC lipstick at Nordstrom and I walked out feeling as if I'd been cheated because it's not even a lipstick that's going to last all day. The lipstick isn't like a liquid lip that can tolerate my tea addiction or eating all day. It's just as it sounds: A tube of lipstick.

Naturally, I panicked and went on a hunt to prove that a 5 dollar tube could be the same.

As you know, I went to Target... mmmhhhmmm. Long story short, I bought a tube that is now my favorite lipstick ever. Number 104, gals. It's mauve, gorgeous and smells delicious. This is my best friend. I keep her in my bag just in case I magically need a little rouge. It has transferred from bag to bag with me since I bought it.

Let me be clear. This is not a liquid lip, these sticks will not last all day as they're not designed too. They transfer, to be short but they do stain. It's a nice perk for a lip that's under $5 and you want to change out throughout the day without any kind of mess.

After I got home and tried this formula, I turned right back around and walked to the local drug store where I bought #11 & #107. Both gorgeous reds. A dark cranberry and crimson berry. I'm obsessed.

WIW: For the Love of Pearls and Joggers

You're either for or against joggers.

There's no middle ground in this debate. It's really that. You like them or you despise them and, of course, I adore them. It did not start out this way. I was convinced they would make me look like I was wearing pajama pants to work. Though, at some tech companies that might be perfectly acceptable ... (I'll leave that hanging)... our company is not one of them.

WIW: Favorite Cotton Black Dress

Good Morning, Afternoon and Evening, Friends, where ever you maybe.

Here's a quality question for you - Have you ever gone into Target to buy 1 or 2 things and walk out after spending nearly $90 and thinking "What on this great Earth did I buy"?

Thank You For Taking The Thyme - Tea Cookies

There are somethings in the world that just make life better. Earl Gray, Peppermint, Chamomile and Lavender, Buckingham Palace, Paris, Ceylon... the list is endless to my palate as, I love tea. And if makes my life a happier place. Almost any type of tea. In the mornings my heart doesn't beat faster for a cupa' joe. What I want is a nice cupa' earl gray with a splash of almond milk. Every morning. This is my routine. Even though I fear stained teeth in my future life, I always feel so much better with a cup in hand walking from meeting to meeting.
